Val, the co-founder and one of the subject matter experts at Alwella, is an experienced business and strategy consultant, avid traveler, and commercial space advocate with a focus and regional experience in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans. His career highlights include starting several companies, working for the United Nations, and, most recently, an interesting dive into blockchain tech. Val has a Master’s Degree in Transportation Policy, Operations, and Logistics from the Schar School of Policy and Government, in addition to his earlier background in International Economics.

Roman is the co-founder of Alwella and our principal expert in evaluation, analysis, statistics, and program audit. He is a globally focused professional with over 20 years of experience in performance measurement, impact evaluation, research, and assessment of development interventions funded by international donors, government institutions, and foundations in various cultural contexts. He combines analytical and research expertise with strong skills in public speaking, presentation, writing, and communications. Roman has Master’s Degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and International Economics.

Lana is our leading expert in U.S. and international finances, taxation, and business valuation. With a wealth of experience in public accounting, tax consulting, wealth management, business accounting, and training, Lana consistently delivers unparalleled leadership, expertise, and insight in all areas of finance and taxation. She graduated from George Washington University with a Master’s Degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Her career highlights include years of experience in public accounting, including tenure with a Top 10 public accounting firm.
